For youth at risk in the Philippines: Solidarity Walk or Run (At Home!)
On the average, we do 7,500 steps a day, which is equivalent to 6 kilometers!
Do you miss sports ? Did you use to go for a walk, run or bike before the lockdown?
Give a meaning to your quarantine : support the ACAY youth and their families, living in the slums of Manila (Philippines).
LET’S HELP THE YOUTH AND FAMILIES OF ACAY IN THE PHILIPPINES
The COVID-19 pandemic is also spreading in the Philippines, where we support the youth at risk. The enhanced community quarantine was announced on March 14. When the everyday life stopped, a lot of people found themselves with no work. The most precarious part of the population no longer had income, even to simply buy food.
The ACAY team continues to follow the youth at risk of the Second Chance program, the majority of whom live in the slums. The School of Life maintains a safe place to assist and train almost 20 young victimized girls towards reintegration.
LOCKDOWN RUN: HOW TO PROCEED? REGISTER AND DONATE!
ACAY is organising a solidarity run or walk (at home!) on May 1, 2 and 3, at the time of your choice.
While staying at home, take part in this challenge together with the staff, volunteers, and everyone else supporting ACAY.
You can make the registration while making the donation in the amount of your choice by clicking the DONATE button above. (Donation process is secured with Paypal security features).
Tell us how many kilometers you challenge yourself to do! You can download applications such as Nike Run Club or Google Fit to help you keep track of the distance you have covered. At the end of the challenge, we want to know how many kilometers we all did together.
what will the collected money be used for?
The money used will be used to buy food for the youth and families affected by Covid-19 pandemic.
After the challenge, you can send your photos and videos during the solidarity run or walk to info@acay.fr. We will publish the best, together with the testimonies of the beneficiaries.
