The Innovation Hub
ACAY has chosen to focus on quality rather than quantity in its growth. ACAY builds on the quality of its support for vulnerable youth, young victims, and youth in the juvenile justice system by developing innovative strategies and pathways aimed at empowering young people to take control of their lives, fostering their resilience, and ensuring their successful reintegration into society.
This commitment to innovation and to continuously improving the quality of its support led to the creation of the ACAY Innovation Hub. This space for research, experimentation, and development enables new approaches and tools to emerge in support of greater social impact.
Metamorpho.sYs Journey, a “Compassion Tech™” methodology, is the fruit of this Innovation Hub.

Metamorpho.sYs Journey, a “Compassion Tech™” methodology
The Metamorpho.sYs Journey places young people at the heart of their own transformation. It is a hybrid methodology that combines Compassion, expertise in evaluation from the business world, and digital tools. It measures the effectiveness and impact of a program while giving young people an active and central role in their own transformation.
The Metamorpho.sYs Journey digital tool follows beneficiaries’ progress in an iterative and dynamic way through specific and clear indicators.

It is a hybrid method that combines compassion with evaluation expertise from the corporate world and the digital realm. It measures a program’s effectiveness and impact while giving young people the opportunity to play an active and central role in their own transformation. The Metamorpho.sYs Journey digital tool tracks the progress of the organization’s beneficiaries in an iterative and dynamic manner using specific and clear indicators.
In 2018–2019, in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo, ACAY teams led training sessions for young people and staff at a foundation caring for young girls accused of being “witches.”
Development of coaching within ACAY to support young people with financial matters in preparation for reintegration.
When an impactful program, conceived in the Global South, comes to assist countries in the Global North! In 2014, ACAY Philippines was founded in Marseille, France, and provided coaching during the early years of the Second Chance Program’s development.
Development of ACAY’s educational approaches and the design of training programs focused on self-awareness and social reintegration for young people aged 16 to 21. These flagship training programs laid the groundwork for the Metamorpho.sYs toolkit.
